About the Havant Lions

Perhaps we are best know for our support of Santa Clause at Christmas time. Whether Santa is seeing children at the local ASDA supermarket or touring the Havant area on his sleigh in the cold dark evenings running up to Christmas, you will find him accompanied by a group of supporters from Havant Lions.

Fund raising takes place throughout the year. We carry out collections in the town centre, ASDA and other popular locations in Havant. Our Monster Bottle Raffle at Emsworth is a key money raiser. We also support the Local Lions Clubs who collectively organise a sponsored walk around Langstone Harbour to allow local people to raise funds for their favourite Charity.

Our giving represents all types of local community support. Ranging from tickets to "Pompey" for disabled fans and who would otherwise not be able to attend, equipment for Havant Hospital, fees for disabled person summer schools and essential equipment for those charities who have no funds themselves.

Our activities extend to a range of social events and we take every opportunity to combine helping people with having some fun.

We are twinned with Lion Clubs in France, Vallee D'or and in Sri Lanka, Beruwala. We have regular exchange visits with our French colleagues; these are highlights of our social calendar. See our Havant Lions events page.

We enjoy splendid support from individuals and organisations in the local area. We are very grateful to all those who help us to help others.
